Power Rangers Mystic Force is the fourteenth season of the television series Power Rangers and is based on the 29th Super Sentai tokusatsu series Mahō Sentai Magiranger. The season premiered on February 20, 2006 as part of the Jetix block on Toon Disney. Toei Company, Ltd. Ranger Productions, Ltd.

SYNOPSIS📍

Legend says when the Darkness arises, five brave teen Sorcerers will be called to fight for the planet's survival. With guidance from their wise mentor and the ancient Xenotome, Book of the Unknown, they will embark on magical adventures, befriend mystical dragons, battle dangerous beasts, encounter pure evil, and transform into the Power Rangers Mystic Force.

PRODUCTION📍

According to executive producer Bruce Kalish, he started work on Mystic Force immediately after wrapping on SPD but he was more familiar with the production after SPD. The choice to make Mystic Force more fantasy inspired with magic and mythical monsters was reportedly his own decision as, although Magiranger used a lot of the same elements, they introduced the idea of Briarwood and the monster world which is a PR exclusive idea. To help with writing, he made Jackie Marchand story-editor which was a position that she had wanted for years but never obtained and she remained in the position until partway through Power Rangers RPM two years later. Producer Sally Campbell has stated that this is her favourite season because of how creative they were able to be with the more fantastical elements allowed by a magic-based season.
