RodeLink Filmmaker Kit, NTG4, NTG4+ Shotgun Microphone Broadcast Expo 2015

FULLY DIGITAL WIRELESS AUDIO SYSTEM FROM RØDE Rodelink : Australian microphone maker RØDE has announced a new digital wireless system called RØDELink. It uses 2.4GHz transmission with 128-bit encryption while transmitting on two channels simultaneously. The system can monitor and change frequencies as needed to maintain the strongest signal, transmitting a 24-bit/44.1k signal up to 100 meters.

The first product to use the technology, the RØDELink Filmmaker Kit, provides everything needed for a basic filmmaking setup including a broadcast quality lavalier microphone, transmitter, and receiver that can be mounted on a standard camera shoe.

Rode The Filmmaker kit provides a broadcast-quality omnidirectional lavalier mic, transmitter beltpack and camera-mounted receiver.

Setup between devices is simple, using a one-touch sync option with automatic scanning. The RX-CAM receiver has an OLED monitor and provides battery and signal status. The kit is expected to ship in early February, priced at a competitive $400 for pre-order on B&H.

Rode has also introduced a pair of new shotgun microphones, the NTG4 and NTG4+. They provide upgraded condenser capsules for richer sound and digital switching to improve sound capture in different environments, such as a high frequency boost for use with wind shields. The NTG4+ offers a built-in rechargeable battery, and can be fully charged via USB in two hours. The NTG4 and NTG4+ are available for pre-order at SOURCE DISTRIBUTION.

100 METRE RANGE, RØDELink is so intuitive that it works straight out of the box, with no channel selection necessary. For users with multiple RØDELink devices the system offers eight discrete channels that can be setup in seconds.
