Welcome to the 2nd and final video from this POTA-ish vacation in Arkansas. This time I spent more of the week relaxing, instead of driving hours everyday to get on the radio. Sometimes you just have to unplug and reset your mind and your body. It was much needed, and very much worth it.

This activation, to my surprise, ended up being right off of the back of the cabin I rented for the week. Before I left home to head to Arkansas, I did a little bit of research to see what parks might be around the area of the cabin, and while I found US-7280 then, I only looked at the GPS coordinates from the POTA app site and assumed it was only an area with a boat ramp and small camping area down the road from me. Still obviously close and nothing to complain about. The day of this activation I was looking around again and actually pulled up the Arkansas Wildlife Management website and was very surprised when I found the boundary pretty much followed the Arkansas River and that the back yard of the cabin was actually within the boundary. SCORE!!

For this activation I used the Alpha FMJ antenna once again because I wanted to see if my theory about the SWR being higher on the mountain was correct, and it looks like it was.
