LAUNCH: Amazon Project Kuiper Protoflight aboard ULA Atlas V 501

United Launch Alliances Atlas V 501 rocket is set to lift-off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station with the (surprisingly secretive) Amazon KuiperSat Protoflight mission from SLC-41. The satellites are prototypes which Amazon will use to test its design and technology in space before beginning full scale production of the broadband internet constellation.

Window opens: October 6th at 2:00PM EDT (18:00 UTC)
Window closes: October 6th at 4:00PM EDT (20:00 UTC)
Current T0: October 6th at 2:00PM EDT (18:00 UTC)

Orbit: 500km circular orbit at 30 degree inclination
Configuration: 501 - 5 meter payload fairing, no solid rocket motors, single engine on the Centaur stage.

· Atlas V's 99th launch, 8th launch in 501 configuration
