Findings:
In the first evaluation (January 2023), ChatGPT demonstrated significantly higher performance and emotional awareness scores than the general population norms on all scales.
In the second evaluation one month later (February 2023), ChatGPT's performance improved significantly, almost reaching the maximum possible score on the test.
The accuracy of ChatGPT's responses was rated as extremely high (9.7 out of 10) by the two licensed psychologists.
ChatGPT also performed well on new, custom-made scenarios that were not part of the original LEAS test.

Conclusion: The study demonstrated that ChatGPT can generate highly appropriate and sophisticated emotional awareness responses, outperforming human averages. Its ability to improve rapidly suggests strong potential for clinical applications, such as being used in cognitive training for people with EA impairments (e.g., in depression, PTSD, or eating disorders) , assisting in psychological diagnosis , or helping to enhance the emotional language of mental health professionals.
