As massive fans of the CI Mid we could not be anymore stoked to bring you the all new Channel Islands Mid Twin surfboard. All the best bits of the original with a faster looser surfing experience only a mid-length twinny can provide - great for flying down long walls and turning jamming back into the pocket!

As you'd expect the Mid Twin has a low entry rocker and carries plenty of foam forward under your chest for an easy paddle and effortless trim-speed. It's important to note the CI Mid Twin is not just the 2 + 1 version of the CI Mid without the middle box. The Twin fin boxes are set back to compensate for the loss of the centre fin. Yes its looser than a 2 + 1 setup but not out of control in any way. In comparison to a CI Mid of the same size it looks to have a bit more volume pushed forward and is slightly wider and thicker throughout thus carrying one or two more litres of volume.

Channel Islands have collaborated with Devon Howard, a Southern Californian surfer and champion of all things style and glide, who has been riding and refining these boards for the last couple of decades. The Channel Islands Mid has been inspired by the beautiful clean lines and extended rail-lines of traditional 'eggs' and single fins, blending these classic outlines with the sensitivity and surf ability that a true performance surfboard builder can bring to the table. This stunning mid-length offers so much to the surfer, lighting up those average days, boosting your wave count when its crowded and still offering heaps of fun on those bigger days when the waves have some size. A modern set of concaves and some hard, slightly tucked rails at the tail allow the board to perform way beyond what you'd expect from a regular mid-length. Pair with the Futures CI Keel fins for a traditional drawn feel or a more upright fin such as the CI Britt Merrick Twin Fin or Futures Akila for a bit more attack!

We love the minimalist branding and particularly the retro logo running down the stringer which was last seen adorning Al's boards back in the early 70's. The CI Mid will come standard with 'Gun Glassing' 6oz + 4oz decks and 6oz bottoms.
