The Active Volcano in Canada; Wells Gray Clearwater Volcanic Field

Описание к видео The Active Volcano in Canada; Wells Gray Clearwater Volcanic Field

A volcano in Canada just north of the city of Clearwater erupted a little less than 500 years ago. Not only this, but it has erupted four times during the last 10,000 years. What I am referring to is the Wells Gray-Clearwater Volcanic Field, which contains dozens of impressive vents including underwater volcanoes, subglacial volcanoes, and cinder cones which produced valley filling lava flows. This video will discuss this complex, which still occasionally produces small earthquake swarms.
