I developed a HUGE boil with puss. It became very sensitive and painful when bumped. I consulted friend who is a Nurse Practitioner. She advised me in this procedure. I basically washed the boil with soap and water. Then I sterilized a needle (safety pin) by heating it over a flame. I then lanced (popped) it with the needle (safety pin). It immediately felt better. And Quickly healed after that.
