Israel says it will halve the flow of aid deliveries into Gaza and keep the Rafah crossing closed, accusing Hamas of violating the terms of the ceasefire deal by failing to hand over the bodies of more hostages.

Hamas has pledged to transfer another four bodies Tuesday night, while President Trump posted on social media "the job is not done, phase two begins right now".

But the tension is putting a huge strain on the truce, just a day after Monday’s euphoria.
