Is this a cake or a pot of flowers? BOTH it's a FLOWER POT CAKE made with chocolate cake, a fondant terra cotta pot, and an Oreo and cake crumb mixture for the dirt. Top the cake off with beautiful fresh flowers. People seriously did not realize that this was actually a cake, they simply thought that it was a pot of fresh flowers. I felt so clever…

THIS CAKE IS PERFECT FOR MOTHER’S DAY!! Your momma will be so impressed with your cake; and it is actually quite easy to make.

By the way, I made this cake for Yolanda Gampp’s “RepliCAKE” project/contest 2017.

Supplies and Equipment Needed:
3 eight inch cakes (chocolate is preferred – my mom’s favorite)
buttercream frosting
6 inch cake pan
toothpick
bread knife
turn table – recommended
terra cotta colored fondant – made with brown and copper coloring
Oreos or other chocolate sandwich cookies to make the edible dirt
large plastic bag and a bowl
milkshake straws
bouquet of fresh flowers
And…. HUGE SMILE!!!
