In this lecture, EKG is going to cover Pyruvate Pathways & Metabolism—looking at the different fates of pyruvate in anaerobic and aerobic conditions. EKG will break down what happens to pyruvate under aerobic and anaerobic conditions and why fermentation occurs. Lastly, you'll learn how Pyruvate is converted to Oxaloacetate via Gluconeogenesis, and we'll look at the Glucose-Alanine Cycle.
