So first, the channel update. I've been getting people asking me to cover this new patch notes because of how much it shakes up the meta. I will oblige for this patch, just because it is such a drastic change. But this drastic change also sort of reinforces my decision to not return to ESO. I don't have the same passion and drive that I once had for it. Expect irregular abbreviated (i.e. shorter and more concise) videos moving forward in terms of this patch's theorycrafting; I will still cover the important stuff (e.g. new Alkosh, Elemental Treachery, etc.) and do builds, but the videos will (hopefully) be brief and more to-the-point. Build videos might just be something like a rotation demonstration with a screenshot of the build/skill bars at the end or something. Still working on that.

But this patch does shake the meta up a fair amount. Lots of changes to cover here, but the big ones that stand out to me are listed below.

Thrassian got nerfed. It might still be useful for trash fights, or on boss fights with lots of adds. But beyond that, it's basically dead.

Blood for Blood got nerfed for many classes. Some classes can still sustain it if they have a consistent self-heal, but others won't be able to.

Alkosh got buffed as a tank set. More details to come in a future video.

RO is dead, and MA might be back. Both hit 6 people, but MA is definitely more consistent.

SPC is back after a 2 year hiatus. More details to come in a future video.

Both Relequen and Siroria got nerfed, while Berserking Warrior got buffed. False God isn't looking great with its nerf either. Surprisingly, the Siroria nerf makes it more usable in mobile fights, so I guess it's a side-grade more than anything else.

The new set Elemental Catalyst adds up to 18 percent more crit damage. That's some fat stacks right there. A magicka necromancer with Catalyst and the new MA will make for a juicy buff bot.
