On this week's episode, i had the privilege to interview the reigning Miss Bohol 2016 Miss Glyssa Perez! Glyssa is a beauty queen who is passionate about living a purpose filled life. Born and raised a Sydney-sider but now residing in the beautiful province of Bohol Philippines. She recently graduated early this year with a bachelor’s degree in commerce majoring in finance and she recently won the most prestigious title “Miss Bohol 2016”.

I had been so blessed watching Glyssa's success story and have been fascinated as to how she's able to acomplish so much at such a young age. Watch as i interview Glyssa and learn more about her struggles and how she finds strength to over come! - I can't believe we were both nearly in tears by the end of the interview!

Here's Glyssa's Advice:

1) Never give up. Don’t give up on your dreams and always believe that anything is possible. Always have the desire and determination to go for what you believe in – Pray about it and seek God’s advice. When you don’t give up, you can go further.

2) Be grateful. Remember the people that had been there for you through your journey, and always have a grateful heart.

My thoughts:

It’s easy to think that struggling is a sign of weakness. But we need to remember to value and celebrate these moments of struggle as an opportunity and a chance where we can learn and stretch ourselves.

I pray this video will be an encouragement to you as we learn to use our struggles to fuel our growth.
