Setting Disk Quotas on Windows Server 2019

1. Preapre

DC31 : Domain Controller(Yi.vn) | DC32 : File server, IP 10.0.0.31 | WIN101,WIN102 : Client ; IP 10.0.0.101,102

2. Step by step : Setting Disk Quotas on DC32

DC32 : Create and share a folder named Report

WIN101 : Logon with account Yi\HiepIT - map drive Z: \\10.0.0.32\Report

WIN102 : Logon with account Yi\VietIT - map drive Z: \\10.0.0.32\Report

DC32 : Setting Disk Quotas on E: limit 1G

Right-click E: - Properties - Quota tab :

Tick "Enable quota management" and "Deny disk space to users exceeding quota limit" :

Select "Limit disk space to" : 1024 MB - Set warning level to : 900 MB - OK - OK

WIN101, WIN102 : Check map drive Z: - 1 GB

DC32 : Set disk quotas for HiepIT upto 10G

Computer - Right-click E: - Properties - Quota tab - Quota Entries... - Quota - New Quota Entry... - HiepIT - OK :

Select "Limit disk space to" : 10 GB - Set warning level to : 9GB - OK

WIN101 : Refesh - Check again - 10 GB - OK
