SECTION 144 IMPOSED IN LAMHAI NAMDI AND PEREN - CHUMU BORDER AREAS

Dimapur Commissioner of Police has imposed Section 144 CrPC along Chumukedima - Peren border areas. The order was imposed following a tense situation over a border dispute. The areas include stretches from Vihuto - Khehoyi - Kiyevi village areas. The order came into effect from 12 pm of November 7 until further notice. Moreover, Peren DC also imposed Section 144 CrPC at Lamhai Namdi village and adjoining areas. Security personnel & medical emergency services exempted from the order. The order prohibits gathering of more than 5 people and also ban on carrying lethal weapons and arms in the above mentioned areas
