Mindful Body Scan.

Close your eyes if it helps, and is safe to do so.

Scan your body, from head to toe.

Noticing any sensations you discover along the way, be they pleasant or unpleasant, and without judgment.

Maybe you have a headache, tension in your neck, an itch on your cheek, a pleasant tingling or warmth in your fingers, or anything.

Don’t react to it, or judge it.

After scanning your body, focus your mind on consciously relaxing the areas, where you experienced tension, discomfort, or pain.

Scan again to notice any changes.

Continue, noticing your body!

Take time out to do this mindfulness practice. This is a chance for you to disengage from your mode of constantly doing things, and allow yourself time for just being. A chance to be present with yourself, and with whatever else comes up in your mind and your body. A chance to be with things as they are, with gentleness, curiosity and kindness.
