Make a gift for yourself! VHF/UHF J-Pole antenna DIY of a ribbon cable.

Описание к видео Make a gift for yourself! VHF/UHF J-Pole antenna DIY of a ribbon cable.

An antenna is the most important part of the Ham Radio station. The more effective HF, VHF or UHF antenna, the longer distance contacts could be achieved.

In this video, I build and test a VHF/UHF antenna for mostly FM communications known as a J-Pole antenna. I was inspired by the article in the QST Magazine February 2003 by Edison Fong, Amateur Radio operator callsign WB6IQN. I adopted this antenna for my needs and frequencies I use most on 2m and 70cm amateur radio bands.

I have also designed few 3-D printed parts for this antenna, which STL files could be available for free at printables.com here:

Enjoy building and using this antenna!
