The Peaks of the Balkans Trail is a 192 km loop hike that passes through the spectacular borderlands of Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo. This video is the daily chronicle of six seasoned Canadians as they hike the Peak of the Balkans trail over 9 days led by local Albanian guide Dritan. Each day entailed 3-8 hrs ofr hiking with 10-15 km of distance and many 1000+ meter ascents. Highlights from this trip include the awe inspiring views from Mt Valusnica, swimming in lakes, interacting with local shepherds and tasting their offerings of fresh cheese and hot goats milk, passing through small remote villages/homesteads and the many unique accomodations offered in all three countries.
