Mathias Rust leg 2 entering Russia. MSFS 2024

Leg 2 of my recreation of Mathias Rust 1987 flight to the Red Square in Moscow. I set the weather to live - and that was probably not a great choice, as today it is windy and snowstorm. Entering Estonia and later Russia proved to be a challenge. I was at 1,400 ft. but had to raise my altitude as I couldn't see anything, but the avionics showd hills/mountains ahead.

After some time at the new altitude (2,000 ft) the plane started to experience icing, on windows and checking outside it was obvious that the wings were starting to ice over.

I lost some airspeed, but the wind picked up and we flew quite sideways. Combined with the heavy ice on the wings my prediction is that I would have fallen out of the sky pretty soon after I left the live stream.

I am considering what to do with the remaining flight - I may skip to outside of Moscow, just to try and do the landing. I will be thinking about it. But I still feel that this clip does have value, as the plane hit some severe weather.
