Rep. Marcoleta, iminungkahing tapusin na ang House budget deliberation ng OVP

Sa pagpapatuloy ng deliberasyon ng House Committee Appropriations ngayong Martes, September 10 kaugnay sa proposed 2025 budget ng Office of the Vice President (OVP), nag-mosyon si SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta na tapusin na ang budget deliberation ng OVP.

Iginiit ni Rep. Marcoleta na binibigyan ng parliamentary courtesy ang dalawang pinakamataas na posisyon sa gobyerno, ang Office of the President at Office of the Vice President, bilang bahagi ng aniya’y long-standing tradition ng Kongreso.

“Wala na po ba ‘yung respeto sa tradisyon na ‘yun?… Are we now setting aside this tradition?” tanong niya.

Tumutol naman ang karamihan sa mga mambabatas na i-terminate ang OVP budget deliberation, habang tatlo lamang ang bumotong pabor sa mosyon. #News5
