During my hotel career, I held 17 jobs...ranging from busboy to corporate executive. By far, the roles that shaped me the most were when I was a line employee. I learned so much as a dishwasher, housekeeper, bellman, towel attendant, restaurant server, etc. Here's a brief story about when I was an 18-year old banquet server. That incident completely transformed my outlook on what it meant to be a "professional".
