Fire Emblem's Toxicity Problem (No, this is literally about poison)

Описание к видео Fire Emblem's Toxicity Problem (No, this is literally about poison)

Fire Emblem's toxicity problem. A confounding issue that has spanned... for decades! It took many years for Fire Emblem to fully understand how they want to create negative effects. At the start of this journey into debuffs and things that passively hurt your units, much like other RPGs, Fire Emblem started with poison. Poison in Fire Emblem has had a variety of different ways to take HP from the player's units. But as we'll learn in this video, things started pretty inconsequential, but over time, IS learned how to weave in good, threatening and effective poison to keep players weary of the potential punishment of not curing it. Today's video is a timeline from the game's first iteration, to its era of complete mediocrity through Thracia 776 to Radiant Dawn, into a glow up in Fire Emblem Fates, a set-back in Three Houses, to yet another innovation in Fire Emblem Engage.
