BenQ SW321C Review - The Ultimate 32" 4K Photographers Display!

BenQ SW321C The Ultimate 32" 4K Photographers Display!

This is BenQ latest 32” 4K display. It is a replacement of the SW320 that has come before it and it pack many of the technology that has set the standard with the SW line. In my 4 weeks of testing and reviewing this display, it is a joy to use. And there’s something to be said about working with a 32” 4K display. You get a chance to really immerse yourself into your edits.

Here are some of the notable feature of this new SW321C

1. 99% Adobe RGB coverage with Hardware Calibration Capabilities.
2. Hardware Calibration chip has been updated to a new 16 BIT 3D LUT.
3. Hockey Puck Gen 2 for quick color proofing and color mode change.
4. Uniformity Version 2, a feature that makes this panel extremely evenly illuminated and color accurate.
5. New support for HLG in addition to HDR10 for anyone editing HDR contents.
6. Shading Hood that comes standard for both the horizontal and vertical orientation.
7. The new matte / anti reflective coating that is currently BenQ exclusive!
8. A new color mode called Paper Color Sync, that is a hardware color mode designed for print proofing.

From all of these notable features, here are a few from the list that I greatly appreciate.
Uniformity Version 2, greater emphasis has been put on uniformity. This panel is calibrated from the factory for great uniformity and this can easily been seen when working with images. The brightness is evenly illuminated through out the display. This is a great improvement for the SW line and this feature was first introduced with the SW270C.

The brand new, BenQ Exclusive, Matte / Anti Reflective coating that minimize any reflective from the environment. When you are working or editing an image on this screen it is as if you are looking at a matted print. It is that matte. This display coating is such a joy to look at and work with. This along with the new color mode called Paper Color Sync, BenQ has bring the ability soft proof your print to the next level. This is going to a great tool that save so much time and reprints; saving money in the long run. Support for printers and paper is limited right now but I’m sure that it would expand.
