Alaska: Summer Solstice 2024

I took a different approach for this video. All footage was shot in single day: June 20, 2024, which was the summer solstice. I started my setup just before 4:00 a.m. and didn't finish until close to midnight. All clips were taken in Southcentral Alaska ranging in the south to the Kenai Peninsula and as far north as Talkeetna.

I have not organized this video in "chapters," per se, but I would like to highlight a couple of key points. First, I was fortunate enough to see Denali (formerly Mount McKinley), which is the highest peak in North America, at 20,308 feet. I've included two clips of the massive mountain: one at 2:57 and the other at 3:40.

The other notable sight is Mount Susitna, also known in these parts as "Sleeping Lady." It's easily identifiable as it looks pretty much like... well... a sleeping lady. You can see this clip 2:36.

The video was shot using a DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone. For video editing and rendering, I used Davinci Resolve Studio. The music was recorded using Gretsch, Taylor, and PRS guitars.
