The focal point of this story is the 2.3-liter dCi turbo diesel engine, the beating heart of the 2017 Nissan Navara NP300 and, to some extent, the technically similar Renault Alaskan. The Euro 6 upgrade doesn’t affect output, which means that the Navara NP300 will continue to be available in 160 PS and 190 PS forms.

CO2 emissions now start from as low as 159 grams per kilometer, representing a reduction of 8 grams per kilometer on the preceding Euro 5 engine. More than that, Nissan highlights that the updated turbo diesel mill makes the Navara NP300 the best in its segment.

Other improvements brought to the 2017 Nissan Navara NP300 for include a standard Idle-Stop System on all manual models, a color combimeter, cruise control with speed limiter, Bluetooth connectivity, and multi-function controls on the steering wheel. On that note, the gross vehicle weight has increased by 25 to 35 kg, while curb weight has increased by 5 to 38 kg. The one-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity remain unchanged.
