I was a little girl who started her YouTube channel out of her dad’s old camera (CANON G1X was it, with an 8G memory card, the editing program was iMovie) in the corner of my room in 2017; and now I get the honor of seeing this unbelievable number—ONE MILLION. 😭

Who would have known this would actually happen? I know life is not all about numbers, but this is truly a milestone to celebrate! And you guys literally made this happen. 🥹

I’ve been reading this journal by Thoreau lately, and one part of it talks about “what may a man do and not be ashamed of it”? He may do nothing, but then he’ll get the label of a lazy person. But does that mean doing something is always, ultimately better? What if that ‘something’ turns out to be more harmful to the world? Pondering about this question gave me an extra slap as a content creator—as I care deeply about what kind of impact the videos I create can have. I easily fall into a dilemma, and sometimes it’s hard to get out of it.

But all these thoughts at the end of the day are a sign that I’m awake, and I get to have this honor because of each and every one of you who have hit that subscribe button.
