For 15 years Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering (HPI) at the University of Potsdam has been internationally successful in the field of computer science. Science patron Prof. Hasso Plattner -- born on January 21, 1944 - does not only finance HPI as its donor, but is also the committed head of the department of "Enterprise Platform and Integration Concepts," where he is active in teaching and research. Of particular importance to Plattner is the support of future-oriented research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
