Some (like me) consider granola to be pure deliciousness. Most versions consist of rolled oats, nuts, and honey, syrup, or some other sweetener.

Granola can be eaten as a breakfast cereal or snack food. The mixture is baked and toasted to a golden brown.

During the process, the granola is broken up into pieces to achieve a loose consistency. This process can create fines/dust particles that need to be removed prior to packaging.

This is where the SWECO Round Separator comes into play. After the granola is discharged from the size reduction unit, it goes directly to the SWECO Separator to eliminate the fines from the product.

This step will assure a higher quality granola for the consumer.

This video shows granola being screened on a SWECO Round Separator to remove the fines. The test was performed mainly to determine the size of the unit needed to meet the customers requirements for their process.
