Motorcycles, and cars, come with power stealing restrictions.. catalytic converters. Now, these are put in place to cut down on emissions for street use cars which is supposed to make the exhaust better for the air. Now if you have a race motorcycle or race car, these restrictions don't count. Race, track and offroad use vehicles don't have to adhere to the same rules. In which case you may decide to decat or remove the catalytic converter from your bike. Today, we're removing the catalytic converter from this 2019 kawasaki z900. For some bikes, the catalytic converter is part of the main exhaust. the z900 has a mid pipe that contains all of the packing, meaning we're drilling it out. It's a time consuming task, but it does make a big difference in overall performance of your motorcycle. But again, this is for off road use only.
