Whisky .com reviews the Springbank Local Barley 16 years. This is the first edition of the annual Local Barley series. The single malt was distilled exclusively with barley from the region of the distillery. For this filling the barley 'Prism' from the adjacent Low Machrimore farm was distilled.

The nose:
Seaweed, sweet, bourbon note, phenolic note, remembrance of peat
The taste:
Phenolic note, alcohol, flowers, wild herbs, heather, honey note
The finish:
Medium
