Retirement is supposed to feel freeing — but for many people, a new kind of pressure quietly shows up.

“You need to find your purpose". - It sounds helpful. Even wise. But for a lot of retirees, that idea starts to feel like… another job.

In this video, I share what I’ve learned from listening to retirees and reading real comments and conversations — and why purpose, while still important, doesn’t need to be rushed or forced in retirement.

For many people, especially early on, retirement is less about reinvention and more about decompression.

And sometimes, simply living — without urgency or justification — is enough.

This isn’t about rejecting purpose. It’s about allowing it to emerge naturally, in its own time. If you’ve ever felt uneasy about being “busy enough” in retirement, you’re not alone.
