This timeline looked at the largest "active" ocean liners throughout history.

Therefore, SS Great Eastern was excluded for most of it's lifetime since it served such a short period of time as an ocean liner.

RMS Queen Elizabeth did not become an ocean liner until 1946. The ship also retired in 1968 and stopped functioning as an ocean liner. Therefore, it was excluded from the least thereafter.

World War 1 & 2 ceased most passenger trade and did not affect this timeline (except if the record holder was destroyed, like SS Normandie)
