Описание к видео Rabbit Proof Fence (Victory Scene)

This scene is part of an HRN series that celebrates victories for the cause of universal rights. This is an Australian film based on the book "Follow the Rabbit-Proof Fence" by Doris Pilkington Garimara. The film tells the true story of the author's mother Molly, as well as two other mixed-race Aboriginal girls, who ran away from a government forced resettlement camp for Aborigines in Western Australia to return to their families in 1931. The film follows the Aboriginal girls as they walk for nine weeks along 1,500 miles (2,400 km) of the Australian rabbit-proof fence to return to their community at Jigalong, while being pursued by white law enforcement authorities. Directed by Phillip Noyce, the movie stars Evelyn Sampi, Kenneth Branagh, and David Gulpilil and features a sound track by Peter Gabriel.
