Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Russia has received a series of sanctions against them by the US and NATO to deprive Russia, of valuable resources. This was an effort to cripple Russia, militarily and economically. The Western countries thought that this would put an end to the Russian invasion, of Ukraine.

In theory, this tactic would work, if the US and NATO hadn't overlooked several major flaws that now have backfired and resulted in a failed effort to bring the Russian economy to its knees, and force Putin’s surrender in Ukraine. This has only emboldened Putin and the Kremlin’s resolve as it desperately attempts to assert its dominance over the Western nations.
