I found that the Maxxis Sport I was testing lacked grip in a controlled way. The kart would four wheel drift through the mid to late exit of a turn, where a Mojo would follow a perfect train track like line. Also, when these went off, they went off quick. Braking took longer and due to the drift, getting power down lost the instant grab you get from a Mojo.

The video I'm posting later shows me following a kart fitted with Mojo tyres. At one point I ended up dropping my bumper as I just ran out of grip, and run into the person in front. With Mojo, the drop off from tyre performance is slower, but these Maxxis felt like you suddenly had a big drop off all in one go.

I was having to brake earlier and earlier as the laps progress as the tyres lost grip. Also you see my lines aren't as tight as I'd like, as although the kart was grippy around corners, it also had that predictable sideways drift, also giving me that reduced traction on exit.

This wouldn't matter so much in a one tyre make race, but it really showed up against the Mojo's on the track.
