For Broken Ears is the debut EP of Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, released on September 25, 2020. The project was released to a host of critical acclaim.

On the seven-track project, Tems' creative process and pure talent shines through as she effortlessly weaves experimental and contemporary afrobeats with the warm embrace of soulful R&B. This fusion of genres proves to be flawless as Tems flows from impassioned, unhurried ballads such as “Interference” and “Higher” to lively, assertive power anthems such as “Damages” and “The Key,” in the span of 21 minutes.

With no features, Tems as the lead singer, only songwriter and lead producer on the album, Tems' propensity for music and potential is clear through the body of work.

As the title suggests, the EP is empowering and therapeutic, like ginger and honey for a sore throat. In the end, Tems' leaves listeners in a dazed, love-at-first-listen trance, wanting more. For Broken Ears is undoubtedly a chef-d'œuvre.

Nigerian star Tems has blessed us with a brand-new EP titled If Orange Was A Place.

Containing five tracks, the new project from Tems is a smooth one made up of her smooth vocals and breezy beats from GuiltyBeatz who handles the production from start to finish.

Features are kept to a minimum as Tems only enlists U.S. singer Brent Faiyaz to trade vocals on track two, “Found”. The EP also houses the recently released “Crazy Tings” which dropped last Friday (September 10).

If Orange Was A Place arrives amid a big twelve months for Tems whose huge collaboration with WizKid “Essence” is undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks of the past year. She also appeared on Drake’s highly-anticipated Certified Lover Boy album which topped the UK Albums Chart last week.

Despite her big moves, Tems has no plans to get complacent and has gifted fans with some more refreshing vibes on her new EP.
