The minute I heard this awesome Moana/Hercules mashup, I immediately thought of Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi's character journeys in the last two "Equestria Girls" films. My ultimate decisions on which song would represent which character depended on these reasons:
Sunset acts as the leader in the Humane 7 and wants to get into the swing of things as they happen, but she's always longing for something magical to happen, not that she doesn't like hanging out with her friends. That torn heart was what reminded me of "How Far I'll Go."
Sci-Twi is isolated, an outcast like Hercules and dreams of something more, which was what made me think of "Go the Distance."
BOTH characters eventually find themselves in doing so, become heroes.
Not necessarily meant to be a shipping video (surprise, surprise), but you can take it that way if you want to, or not.
