Collider was beyond excited to share a theater with fellow Marvel fans for an advanced IMAX screening of Thunderbolts*, where our own Steve Weintraub had the chance to sit down with director Jake Schreier for his MCU debut. Following those action-packed credits (and post-credit scenes), Schreier took the time to share tons of behind-the-scenes with us for his surprisingly emotional addition to the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thunderbolts* brings together a pack of lovable yet reluctant misfits, thanks to Julia Louis-Dreyfus' cunning Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. In the movie, Florence Pugh returns as Yelena Belova (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell as John Walker (U.S. Agent), Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr (Ghost), and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov (Taskmaster). The movie also introduces Lewis Pullman as Robert "Bob" Reynolds and Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel.
