Be Carefrul! Watching this talk is a "practice" in and of itself and it may challenge assumptions.  Pete Strom offers a heart-felt thought provoking perspective on the roots of success and failure.  A perspective that is missing from today's national and global conversation and may have far reaching implications for public policy and your own personal growth.  By illuminating the role of luck in life, this talk concludes by revealing the final high leverage, but subtle, pieces of the success equation.

Serial entrepreneur and self described Jack-of-all-trades/Master-of-none. Pete grew up in Hastings, MN, where he was a state champion ski racer and worked in a steal factory to help pay for college. He studied Political Science and Religion at Gustavus Adolphus College. He worked as a youth director for five years in the Twin Cities before moving to Bozeman to get a masters degree in marriage and family therapy. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor and maintains a part-time practice, as well as owning several local businesses. His passions are his family, Integral spirituality and practice, playing hockey, and the application of sustainable business practices.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
