The curtain rises on The Schools' Festival at the Artscape theatre today and in studio we celebrate some of the amazing talent on offer. The girls from Zonnebloem Primary school will be participating in the programme and they give us a sneak peak of what to expect.
Each year, Artscape , as part of its ongoing mission to promote and elevate the arts hosts The Schools' Arts Festival. The Festival gives learners the opportunity to showcase their talent for performing on a professional stage. The Festival stimulates a love of theatre and performing, while creating an individual sense of self-esteem, pride and achievement. The project encourages nation-building as young people and their parents from different cultures and backgrounds come together to experience a common goal.
