🔺️AVALON🔺️it is a great honour and a pleasure for us to present the @citizenkain live stream in the bay of Alisu of the municipality of Morsiglia in Corsica.


Alisu, a word of Greek origin, means "gathering".

The creation of Morsiglia is attributed to Greek sailors who came to these shores around 500 BC.
Around the 15th century, some rich families of Morsiglia built several square towers which give it its so characteristic and unique panorama in Corsica. They are at the same time residences of the Lords and fortified houses. They are intended to protect local people against invasions of barbarian pirates.
Another original aspect of Morsiglia is the Convent of the Annunziata now disused, but used during the first world war as a prison for German civilians and soldiers.
From the XVIIIth century, Morsiglia, like many other villages in the Cap Corse, knew the emigration towards the Americas. Morsiglia people made their fortune there, but remained faithful to their village. We owe them beautiful houses like the magnificent house called « Palazzu Ghielfucci » (or Guelfucci) built in 1838.
