The presentation considers the problem of carrier phase positioning in 5G and 6G networks from a dual perspective: fundamental performance bounds and algorithms. Focusing on a line-of-sight scenario, our study reveals important insights into the impact of carrier frequency, bandwidth, transmission power, and number of base stations.
