I was probably something like 13 years old when I first played this game. I was into my Final Fantasy at the time and when I came across this it blew my fucking mind. Definitely an underrated and or under-appreciated RPG, however way you wanna look at it. One of my favourite games of all time. And I'm glad I got round to choosing a tune from it's fantastic soundtrack to cover. I used to own this game and hoping to own a copy in the near future. I have Koudelka lying around just waiting to be played! (Might do a tune from that game too)

This song is called 'Star Shape'. It's also called either 'Castle of the Mad Gods II' or 'Castle of the Deranged Gods II' and this song can be heard when you reach the 2nd third of the final dungeon where you're after Roger Bacon inside The Float.

Dunno if you've noticed but I've got all lightbulbs working in my room now btw lol but i need to cover my walls in more posters though. Walls are a bit naked I think.

I've incorperated a little psytrance influence into this and tried to somehow emulate the beat in the original track. I had the opening distorted riffage recorded quite a while ago and didn't really know how to continue on with it. Then I thought I'll just add more weird riffs like I usually do lol. A lot of these ideas are a work of experimentation deep down from the slightly dimmed light of my creativity. Quite happy with how the compisition came out with though.

I'm planning to do a lot more RPG songs in the future as I'm a RPG prog child at heart. I have a few ideas for a couple of songs at the moment but I will appreciate any suggestions you might wanna hear too so feel free to comment :) thanks!
