I debated about making this video but I've had so many friends and folks ask me about my trip to Thailand and they've all been so thankful I've shared with them what I learned... Hoping this can help you!

I made some rookie mistakes. I should have only rented from a place with reviews and I should have rented further away from my hotel.

Next time I'll consider leaving the deposit instead of my passport. Coming so close to losing my passport made me realize what a dangerous thing it is to leave it behind.

If you're heading to Thailand soon, or somewhere else like it and you're planning on renting a scooter take a couple minutes to play through in your mind what you'll do if you have an accident or if you get scammed. It's not fun to imagine, especially when you're just trying to relax or get to the beach. But I wish I'd been a bit more prepared.

This ended up being the most expensive thing I paid for in Thailand by like... 8x. Hotels, food... everything is so cheap. It was a bummer to have to pay for it but I didn't know what else to do.

Anyone else had this happen to them? What did you do?
