Freddie Hubbard w/ McCoy Tyner, Ron Carter, and Elvin Jones perform Hubbard's blues tune 'Birdlike'. This was recorded off a live radio broadcast. This part features as fine a piano solo as you are likely to hear by Tyner, imho, and then a blistering solo from Hubbard. Audio only but I hope you agree it is worth a listen. To my knowledge it has not been released in any format. There is footage of this group on youtube as well at the playboy jazz festival in 1982 but I am not sure if this was performed then or not. I'm not sure which is more enjoyable to listen to, McCoy's solo, or comping. He was like none
other. McCoy Tyner, RIP. December 11, 1938 - March 6, 2020.
