Cycling France - Combe Laval, Col de la Bataille Loop (Vercors)

In September of 2018, I visited a coworker & friend for a weekend of riding in the Grenoble area. This was my first time cycling in the Alps and a life long dream come true. . To warm up for the weekend we visited the Vercors Massif region, south-west of Grenoble. This ride didn't disappoint! In the late 1800s, an Italian work crew built a spectacular cliff road along the top edge of the valley. Riding along the Combe Laval didn't disapoint. The climb up to the Col de la Machine was also amazing and a great way to top out this warmup day for 3 days of riding.
