My model railroad dream layout: Bad contact point detection monster (English subtitles)

Who isn't familiar with those sections of track on a model railroad layout where locomotives keep breaking down?
But is it possible to find out what is causing the poor current transmission, the point contacts or rather the ground-carrying rails?
I have built my bad contact point detection monster to answer exactly this question.
