Did you know that a high percent of prison inmates are functionally illiterate? Many of our school systems are failing to teach most students how to read at the level needed to succeed in high school, vocational training, and college.

You can use these videos to help you teach your children how to read, even if your school never taught you phonics. Best of all, you won't have to pay a tutor outrageous rates either. All you need is the willingness to try and patience.

If your child already knows the basic consonant and vowel sounds and can read simple words such as "cat, dog, late, and rote" then start with Level C, Lesson 1.

How to use these videos: Sit with your child to make sure he or she says the words before I do. Pause the video as needed to allow him or her time to read before I sound out the word.
