This makhana badam halwa is a fasting recipe. I have used Rajgira flour for binding; you can use semolina or wheat flour in the same quantity to make this makhana halwa on regular days. Instead of Rajgira flour, you can use Singhara flour, but I like the taste of Rajgira flour better than the Singhara flour in the halwa. Also, you can use peanuts instead of almonds in this recipe. You can always replace jaggery with sugar; ensure to use less sugar as sugar is sweeter than jaggery.

Fox Nuts (मखाना) - 3 cups of 45 grams
Almonds (बादाम) - ½ cup
Ghee (घी) - 2 tbsp + ¼ cup
Jaggery (गुड़) - 1 cup
Water (पानी) - 1½ cups
Rajgira Atta (राजगिरा आटा) - ½ cupCardamom (इलायची) - ½ tsp
Nuts(सूखे मेवे) - 2 tbsp
Walnuts (अखरोट) - 3 tbsp
Saffron (केसर)
Nutmeg (जायफल) - pinch
