“Hair and Self” represents my Final Major Project within the MA Global Journalism and PR Course at Coventry University, 2022. It is a 22-minute video documentary, entirely produced by myself. Filmed and edited on iPhone 12 Pro Max, the documentary explores mobile journalism (MoJo).

Intended for the general audience, it focuses on the global impact of human hair on self-expression, mental health, societal relations, self-confidence, and self-acceptance. The series of seven diverse interviews presents the interviewees’ stories and experiences from different cultural backgrounds, including Romania (interviews 1/7; 2/7; 4/7), India (interview 3/7), Malaysia (interview 5/7), the United Kingdom (interview 6/7), and Australia (interview 7/7).

“Hair and Self” showcases diversity, while approaching themes like change, social standards, and inner struggle.
